MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - A new summer camp held at a local gym is aimed to help teach young girls how to be strong and healthy.
‘Girls Lift Too’ is a one-week strength, agility, and conditioning program offered at MyFitness Suites gym in Miami Township, Hamilton County.
“Aunnie (a trainer) came to us with the idea of the Girl’s Lift Too program and I was ecstatic! As a mom and gym owner, I couldn’t be happier to offer a program that would focus on strength training and girls. I love strength training, but often hear women say ‘I don’t want to get bulky or manly’ when I bring it up,” Michelle Menke, co-owner of MyFitness Suites said. “I am excited to be able to help teach girls about being strong and healthy at such a young age to debunk that stigma.
