Lukashenko condoles with friends, families of dead pilots
MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed condolence to friends and families of the pilots, who died in a military aircraft crash in Baranovichi, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
The message reads: “All of us mourn today. We ve lost heroes, who placed lives of their compatriots ahead of theirs. By demonstrating unequalled courage, Major Andrei Nichiporchik and Lieutenant Nikita Kukonenko steered the falling aircraft away from residential houses, thus preventing multiple casualties.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted: “There are no words capable of tempering the sorrow of the loss for the friends and families. But there is memory, which will forever stay in our hearts along with the pain and immeasurable gratitude for this heroic deed.”
