1 SA Tank Regiment held a farewell parade for the outgoing Commanding Officer on Friday 30 April 2021.
The event was held in the Big Willie Auditorium at the Tempe Military Base in Bloemfontein.
Lieutenant Colonel Phumzile Shingange, who joined the army in 1998, handed over her commanding rank, because she decided it was now time to move on and seek a new challenge. âI requested to be handed a more challenging position, as I now thought that I have fulfilled the objectives of the current position and I felt that I have reached my potential. Itâs time for me to move on, go make a difference, learn more and command more in high quarters, said Shingange.
