SunStar January 26, 2021 A REGULAR reshuffling at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) was implemented by its city director, Police Colonel Manuel Placido, affecting ten police officials effective Monday, January 25, 2021.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, on Monday said Police Major Jovil Sedel, chief of Police Station 1, was relieved from his post and reassigned to City Investigation and Detective Management Unit (CIDMU). His post was also occupied by Police Major Ramel Sarona, chief of Police Station 6.
Sarona s post was occupied by Police Captain Leo Estopa, chief of Police Station 2, while Estopa s post was occupied by his deputy commander Police Lieutenant Joven Mogato.

+ January 22, 2021 AN ESTIMATED P20,800 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in separate anti-drug operations of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City Thursday evening, January 21.
The operation also led to the arrest of Remo Togores, 34, of Barangay Singcang-Airport; and Edgar Lapitan and Jay Lloyd Lobaton, both residents of Barangay Estefania.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Togores was arrested by operatives of Police Station 8 after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover in Purok Mainabyanon, Barangay Singcang-Airport around 11:30 p.m.
Police recovered from Togores s possession six sachets of shabu weighing two grams with estimated market value of P14,000, the P500 marked money and a coin purse.

+ January 15, 2021 The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is eyeing three angles in the killing of the money lender at DC1, Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City on January 12.
Police identified the victim as Joefrrey Parandas, 59, of said barangay.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said yesterday, January 14, they are looking into personal grudges, business or drug related motives in the killing of Parandas.
He said Parandas has a lending business and in previous years, he was also involved in illegal drugs but he managed to evade arrest.

+ December 15, 2020 AN ESTIMATED P6,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 6 in Purok Dughan, Barangay 10, Bacolod City on Sunday, December 13.
The operation also led to the arrest of Lepnardo Binegay, of Barangay 10.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said the suspect was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover around 11:30 a.m.
Police recovered from Binegay s possession six sachets of shabu, the P300 marked money and cellular phone.
The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 6 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
