Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officers are investigating a shooting that left one person dead Saturday on the city s southeast side.
According to a news release, officers responded to reports of a person shot in the 4400 block of Lickridge Court shortly after 7 p.m.
When officers arrived to the scene they found a woman with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say they believe this is a domestic homicide.
The Marion County Coroner s Office on Friday identified the woman as 23-year-old Karen Leticia Castro Hernandez. The coroner said Hernandez died from gunshot wounds.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, 28-year-old Marco Pacheco-Aleman was taken into custody Sunday for his alleged involvement in the Saturday night slaying of a woman in the 4400 block of Lickridge Court.
Police were called to the apartment complex shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday and found an unidentified woman suffering from gunshot wounds. The woman,
later identified as 23-year-old Karen Leticia Castro Hernandez, was pronounced dead at the scene.

INDIANAPOLIS It was the beginning of a brutal and bloody Saturday night in Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metro Police were called around 7 o’clock Saturday night and were told shots had been fired at an apartment on the south side of the city. Police made their way to Lickridge Court and then to the apartment, where they found a woman’s body.
She had been shot and killed.
But it wasn’t just a murder that police had on their hands. There was also a missing child.
Witnesses told IMPD that seven-year-old Marco Antonio Jimenes Castro had been seen getting into a gray, four-door car around the same time as the shooting.
