Libyan Health Ministry seeks German help in health visas, expertise, rebuilding primary healthcare, equipment and management of hospitals

London, 22 April 2021: Libya’s Health Ministry seeks Germany’s help in facilitating travel procedures for patients who suffer from critical conditions that are difficult to treat at home, sending German experts in subspecialties to Libya to conduct operations at home to reduce the financial cost, and transferring German expertise to the medical and auxiliary elements. It also seeks help in rebuilding its primary health care system, providing medical equipment and in handing over the management of some hospitals to German companies. The news was revealed yesterday during the meeting between Libyan Health Minister Ali Zanati and German Ambassador to Libya Oliver Owcza to discuss ways of cooperation between the two countries in the field of health.

Libya s Health Ministry seeks North Korean help in managing hospitals in the south

London, 21 April 2021: Libya’s Health Ministry is seeking North Korea’s help in managing some of its hospitals in the south of the country. The revelation came after a meeting yesterday between Libyan Health Minister Ali Zanati with North Korean Ambassador to Libya, Zoo Jin Hyuk. “We will work to restore relations between the two countries in the health field.”, Minister Zanati said, affirming the depth of relations between Libya and Korea and praising the efforts made by North Korean medical and auxiliary medical personnel working in hospitals, and the good impact they have had on the people of the south.
