The Edwards County School Board is set to meet this evening at the Jr. high Science Room of the West Salem Grade School. The board will look to approve the consent agenda, spotlight the FFA, look to approve under old business the adoption of new policies including an update to the hiring process and criteria, policy on reporting issues involving abused and neglected children, employee ethics, code of professional conduct and conflict of interest, exhibits of the Library Media Program, and a policy involving student records. Under new business, the board will look to set fees for the upcoming school year, look to approve a field trip for the FFA to the state convention in Springfield June 12th and 13th, approve the 2022-23 tentative final budget, set a budget hearing for June 19th at 6:$5 PM, look to approve projects over $5,000, and the first reading of the Edwards County Student Handbook.
