Monroe County Library System branch update

The library had been available through online and curbside services in recent weeks. “We are eager to safely welcome the public back inside our library branches,” said Nancy Bellaire, Director of the Monroe County Library System. “A lot of careful thought, deliberation, and research has gone into our decision making process.   We are diligently balancing public service with patron and staff safety,” she added. The library branches initially closed to in-person services in March 2020, as the COVID-19 outbreak reached Michigan. The libraries reopened with limited services in September, primarily by appointment and with reduced capacity; then in late November, shifted back to curbside and online services.
