Petrozavodsk State University takes part in the All-Russian Library Congress: XXV Annual Conference of the Russian Library Association “Library 2030: Building the Future Today”, which is taking place in Petrozavodsk in 2021.
Professionals of librarianship from all regions of Russia, international library associations and foreign libraries take part in the XXV All-Russian Library Congress. Over the course of four days, from May 16 to May 20, they will exchange experience and determine the directions for the development of the country’s library sector in the future.
Back in 2020, Petrozavodsk was awarded the title of “Library Capital of Russia”. As Mikhail Afanasyev, President of the Russian Library Association, noted, Petrozavodsk received the title of the library capital not by chance, but as a place where cultural and library traditions have a long history dating back to the Olonets province.
