we raised more than six million. we re averaging a million dollars a day. that money is for mostly relocation. the other part of our plan fanned strategy is aid in. we have the $10 million in aid coming from our warehouse in addition to additional medical supplies that we procured and partnered with local 501 (c)3s in poland, in ukraine and in hungary, to get the aid to where it needs to get to. that is a whole strategy in itself. like in hurricane maria, you don t want to bring all the aid to one place. you want to go in to places where people don t get to and forgotten. martha: one of the things that there s this russian to poland and there s no where to stay in poland in the immediate vicinity when they get all of these trains or some of them are coming by car or even walking. so what are you doing to help
the cars are packed. it s several hours until they can get here to kyiv. here s what one of the refugees had to say. all right. we don t have that sound bite. as you mentioned, 1 million refugees crossed the borders as of the last tally. 52% are going to poland. poland has structured to get temporary housing. they have a medical train to deal with the sick or the injured. others are going to moldova, hungary, romania. some have gone to belarus and some have gone into russia. martha? martha: thanks, mike. i m joined by bethany frankle who is helping to send tens of millions in aid and needed supplies to the refugees that
going to grow as they try to figure out how we can bolster the capabilities of the ukrainian forces beyond providing javelin missiles, which have been very effective, very lethal. martha: what they i m sorry to interrupt. i want to play another sound bite from president zelensky and ask you to respond directly. let s watch this. now i hope that the sky will be shot down. if you don t have strength and courage to do that, then give me the planes. isn t it fair? martha: i hope you can hear the translation. i want the skies to be shut down. if you don t have the courage and strength to do that, give me planes. it s interesting. there was a rumor a day or two ago that several of the eastern european nato nations, which have old russian aircraft dating
anthem. this was very dramatic. it was very emotional. i don t think i felt such unity with my fellow parliamentarians ever. i don t think there was any more dramatic situation in ukrainian parliament ever as well. martha: it s beautiful to hear everyone singing their national anthem. you said there were about 300 there. how many members total? 400. it was hard to get to kyiv and plus, there s many members of parliament that were active soldiers and right now serving. martha: incredible. i want to play a sound bite. this was recorded on facebook from. zelensky. he talked about a number of foreign troops in the fight against russian. ukraine is are getting foreign volunteers. the first of 16,000. they will defind freedom, life,
preemptive doctrine. there s a whole chapter in my book, putin waging warfare on american networks and our minds. martha: it makes everybody take a breath and counting slowly on all of the information coming in to make sure that we don t jump the gun. this is from a documentary that you were also featured in. this is who vladimir putin is. watch. he feels the west mistreated russia after the collapse of the soviet union, did not give it its proper due, left it out of important decisions that russian deserved to be involved in. his job is to restore russia s status as a great power. martha: i encourage everybody to watch it. you re in it as well. what is his off ramp given how big his ego and pride is factored in here? the interesting thing right now is that we thought that
