Turning a warehouse into a pop-up bar and casino is not the way to stay off the authorities radar in the midst of COVID-19. But that s what happened on Libella Court in Newark last night.
Cops raided the warehouse party around midnight. They arrived to find a makeshift bar, according to Patch.com, for which no one on the premises had a permit to establish.
26-year-old Denisse Tinizaray and 28-year-old Katherine Tinizaray were both arrested and now face charges of maintaining an illegal alcohol establishment, illegal possession of alcohol and illegal sale of alcohol.

Three other people were also arrested Saturday in Paterson for allegedly selling alcohol without a permit at a large party inside a hookah lounge.
The owner and operators of La Café Hookah hosted over 50 inside the establishment, above Gov. Phil Murphy s limit of 10 people for indoor gatherings and after 10 p.m. curfew, according to Paterson police.
None of the employees or customers were wearing any PPE and they were not properly distanced.

Newark Police shutdown an illegal bar in this warehouse, where detectives found 200 people were partying early Sunday morning.

Newark Police Vice Crimes Task Force detectives investigated reports of a large party at 12 a.m., Sunday at a warehouse located at on Libella Court.
Inside, they found 200 people eating, drinking alcohol and participating in illegal gambling, in violation of current coronavirus regulations against large indoor gatherings, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said in a statement.
Detectives also saw two woman selling alcoholic beverages from behind a makeshift bar in the warehouse. Neither of the women were able to produce the appropriate paperwork proving they held a license to sell alcohol, Ambrose said in a statement.
