CAMBRIDGE â The Dorchester County Council initiated a road closure process for Corkran Cemetery Road after discussion at the meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 15, revealed the road had been improperly closed.
District 4 Councilman Lenny Pfeffer asked Department of Public Works Director Dave Edwards about the closure after he said he had received complaints.
Edwards said District 5 Councilwoman Libby Handley Nagel had contacted him about complaints she received about the condition of the dirt road.
Edwards inspected the road and found a large holeâan estimated three feet deepâthat he deemed a threat to public safety, after which he decided to temporarily close the road.
