To all of our trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming community members – we see you, we love you, and we celebrate you on this Transgender Day of Visibility, and every day.” In December 2020, Bhalla announced that Hoboken achieved a 100% rating from the Human Right’s Campaign’s (HRC) Municipal Equality Index (MEI), an annual examination of policies relating to LGBTQ+ laws and cities in over 500 municipalities across the United States.
