we re learning more about the five people killed in the shooting at an lgbtq night club in colorado springs. tonight, some of their family and friends are sharing their memories and their grief. cnn s brian todd is here with some of these very emotional tributes. brian, what are you learning? wolf, these people were all very young, selfless, loving people who made others feel comfortable. one of our first accounts of victim raymond green vance. he was the daughter of the man who took down the shooter. i lost my kid s boyfriend, i tried. i still feel bad that there are five people who there are five people who didn t go home. reporter: raymond s family said he was trying to save enough to get his own apartment after he got a job at fedex.
an lgbtq night club in colorado springs. we do have multiple criticals. reporter: five people killed. at least 25 injured in the latest mass shooting to rip into a community in america. clothes and medical supplies left strewn on the sidewalk, remnants of the panic and chaos that occurred. survivor joshua thurman was celebrating his birthday and was dancing inside the popular club q, the only nightclub of its kind in this city when he heard the gunshots. it was so scary. i heard shots, broken glass, bodies. it was how? why? reporter: police say the alleged gunman, 22-year-old anderson lee aldrich, who had been charged in connection to bomb threats to his parents last year, was armed with an ar-style rifle and multiple magazines. club q had been hosting a drag show when he entered, opening fire immediately.
