LOS ANGELES Adult mental health resource Pineapple Support will host a webinar about borderline personality disorder (BPD) Thursday, May 20 at 5 p.m. ET.
Hosted by licensed mental health counselor Rachael Wells the “Borderline and Strong Myth-Busting BPD” webinar will explore the disorder, its origins and development, as well as the many misunderstandings in the mental health community about this condition. Wells will also cover treatment options and support to encourage healing. Borderline personality disorder affects not just your behaviour and your relationship with others, but also how you feel about yourself, Wells said. The most important thing is that we do recover! Many with BPD can learn to live fulfilling lives with time, treatment and support. Accessing sex-positive and stigma-free support for BPD as a sex worker is paramount for treatment.

CHATSWORTH,
Calif. Adult industry mental health resource Pineapple Support has launched a fundraising campaign to raise money for mental health services, as part of Mental Health Month this May. The organization is hosting a competition to encourage performers to help raise funds and break the stigma around mental health in the adult industry.
The competition, which runs until May 31, charges performers with creating their own fundraising pages to support those struggling with mental health issues. To help challenge the stigma around the topic, performers are asked to share their personal story of why they want to raise funds to support mental health, either in written or video form on the fundraising page.

LOS ANGELES Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support on Thursday announced plans to provide a free, six-week online support group with a focus on trauma and PTSD.
Titled “Steps on a Healing Path: Support for Trauma and PTSD,” the group will be guided by therapist Russell Stagg, with the first session taking place May 12 at 8 p.m. ET. By joining this group, you’re taking an important step along the path to healing, says Stagg. I’ll avoid trendy techniques in offering support and guidance, and focus instead on what experts strongly recommend. I’ve helped hundreds of trauma and PTSD sufferers with an approach that integrates ‘gold standard’ cognitive-behavioural techniques.
