ATCHISON COUNTY On person was injured in an accident just after 4p.m. Friday in Atchison County.According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, a Ford Freestyle SUV driven by Bert Burton, 74, Atchison, was northbound on U.S.73 and was turning left (west) into the Bomgaards parking lot.A collision occurred with a southbound Lexus Passenger car driven by James Stewart, Jr., 17, Atchison.A Can-AM three wheel motorcycle, driven by Derek Gillmore, 58, Atchison, had been stopped eastbound at the stop sign waiting to exit the Bomgaards parking lot when it was struck following the collision of the two vehicles. EMS transported Burton to the hospital with injuries. Gillmore was examined by EMS at the scene but not transported.
