Warming centers and overnight shelters across Central Kentucky are expanding their services this week as frigid temperatures present extreme danger to those experiencing homelessness.
Workers at the Hope Center in Lexington say they're trying to help more people than ever before. They're asking anyone who can to donate winter weather gear.
Central Kentucky Housing and Homeless Initiative, Catholic Action Center, and Street Voice Council are all out around Lexington, working to get accurate numbers of the city’s homeless population.
