The Western Illinois University and Quad Cities communities are invited to attend a special announcement tomorrow, at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19 on the Quad Cities campus on the skywalk between Buildings A and B of the QC Complex.
Chad Sperry, the director of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Center at Western Illinois University, was contacted by Cindy Barbera-Brell, the Illinois State 911 Operator, to assist with a project aimed at meeting a statewide requirement for the implementation of the next generation of 911 technologies. Sperry was eager to take on the project.
Flu no more! Western Illinois University-Quad Cities and the Rock Island Health Department will host a Flu Shot Clinic from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Oct. 4 in Riverfront Hall, room 212 on the Moline campus.
The community has spoken! Western Illinois University-Quad Cities has been named Best of the Quad Cities 2023 in two categories, “Best College/University” and “Best Adult Education,” by the Quad-City Times.
