I was disturbed when there was a request from the Trump Transition Team to find out who the employees within the state been who havee worked on gender equity programs and while i know that has been walked back by that transition team, i think it sends a chilling message to people in the state department and the people concerned about efforts to empower women around the. Lobe can i ask whether you agree that we should continue that andiative to empower women what steps you would take to ensure that the state department continue to fund necessary programs to address global womens issues . This is an issue that has long been important to me personally as well. Ive seen firsthand the impact of empowering women, particularly empowering womens participation in Economic Activities in lesser developed part of the world.
