Residents at The Christian Village in Lincoln received their first round of the COVID-19 vaccine Monday.
In a statement sent by Ray Dickison, Chief Operating Officer of Christian Horizons and leader of the COVID-19 Task Force, said he was relieved to report the update.
“This has been a very difficult year with the COVID-19 pandemic, but I am pleased to share some good news. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has found a COVID-19 vaccine to be safe and effective, and our communities have begun giving the vaccine to residents and associates,” said Dickison.
Christian Horizons will work with Walgreens who will be administering the vaccine and is responsible for providing complete management of the COVID-19 vaccination process for all Christian Horizons communities. Other Christian Horizons affiliates including Lewis Memorial Christian Village, in Springfield, IL and Crown Point Christian Village, in Crown Point, IN are scheduled for their shots on Tuesday,
