In a significant step towards supporting marine conservation efforts in the South Atlantic, the Government of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands (GSGSSI) has announced the successful transition of ownership of Pharos Marine Limited (part of the Falklands based Byron group) to Workboat Services Limited, WBS, ensuring the continued operational presence of the vessel MV Pharos SG in the South Georgia & South Sandwich Islands Maritime Zone.
There s an “economic storm” brewing in the Falklands rural sector said Chair of the Rural Business Lewis Clifton on Wednesday night. Nelson spent a total of seven days in custody prior to sentencing. - Maureen Laurencia Isaac-Johnson (born 1992) was sentenced to five days in jail and one year probation and assessed a $200 victim surcharge for possessing stolen property over $5,000, committed in Chetwynd. Isaac-Johnson was in custody for one day prior to sentencing. - Dylan Alexander Austin (born 1996) was sentenced to 14 days in jail and one year probation and assessed a $100 victim surcharge for theft $5,000 or under.
