Police said the incident occurred Aug. 3, 2020, in a Milford apartment complex where Michelle Muiz, 41, and Leviticus Morey, 46, resided. A handgun owned by Morey accidentally discharged, injuring another person who was in the apartment, police said. The female victim suffered what police described as a serious injury, and was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital. She has since recovered, police said.
