Cleveland State University has named Armond Budish as the Mandel Public Service Executive in Residence for the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education. It's a three-year position funded by a grant from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation.

Some community members and at least one landmarks commission member pushed back against the plan, citing the need for more owner-occupied housing in the neighborhood.
UF Provost Joe Glover announced that law professor Merritt McAlister will fill in the position of Levin College of Law interim dean in an administrative memo sent Wednesday afternoon. McAlister will begin in her role June 1. UF plans to conduct a national search to replace former dean Laura Rosenbury soon, according to the memo
