A panel of Weatherhead Center Faculty Associates will each give a seven-minute “speed talk” about their recent or forthcoming book, launching us into compelling issues from around the world, featuring stories and research on nuclear disasters, climate transitions, and refugee education, to name a few themes represented in this event. Refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.

  Cold War & New Cold War: Reevaluating the Global Order – from World War II to the Present On May 4, the Krasno Global Events Series will present “Cold War & New Cold War: Reevaluating the Global Order – from World War II to the Present.” There will be a panel discussion with four leading scholars: Charles S. Maier, Leverett Saltonstall Research Professor of History at Harvard University; author of  Once Within Borders: Territories of Power Petra Goedde, professor of history at Temple University; editor of journal Diplomatic History; author Lorenz Luethi, McGill University, author of  Cold War: Asia, the Middle East, Europe Introduced and moderated by Klaus Larres, UNC-Chapel Hill Richard M. Krasno Distinguished Professor of history.
