Asked how she had coped with 2020, Del Rey said she had âalways thoughtâ something like the coronavirus pandemic would happen âway soonerâ. âWhen they got rid of the contagious disease sector of the White House, I was like, âweâll never make itâ,â she said.

âSo that was one. Because Iâm a bit of a fatalist, I am scared. So I thought somethingâs definitely going to happen there.â
She continued to talk about the bigger picture with the current US government, saying: âThe madness of Trump, as bad as it was, it really needed to happen. We really needed a reflection of our worldâs greatest problem, which is not climate change, but sociopathy and narcissism. Especially in America. Itâs going to kill the world. Itâs not capitalism, itâs narcissism.
Lan Del Rey has shared the artwork and tracklist to her new album
Chemtrails Over The Country Club, which was originally due back in September and follows on from 2019 s
Norman F king Rockwell.
There s 11 tracks on the Jack Antonoff-produced record, including the previously released Let Me Love You Like A Woman . A video for the title track is coming soon, along with pre-orders and a release date.
That s cool. But alongside the typical record promo fare, Lana also pre-emptively defends the album s artwork, which depicts her and a bunch of friends hanging out in vintage attire.
Del Rey points out some of them are women of colour in a comment on her own Instagram post of the cover, and writes she has always been extremely inclusive without even trying to.
