there are dangers on the internet. there is a lot of misinformation out there that can be used to divide and unite. regardless of the reason our president wants to use twitter and social media a lot of tweets have been divisive. he has attacked the media, members of hollywood and private citizens when he doesn t agree with them. very bombastic. there is misinformation everywhere. it is up to the american voters, the american people to do their own research. shouldn t the leader of the free world lead by example rather than jump on that band wagon? of course, that s why he is going directly to the american people. there has been so much misinformation by the press and such a biased press. when you have a biased press, when you are a world leader, you have to go directly to the american voter and that s what donald trump. julie: i think the personal
and pretend to be astute on social media in front of the public but it s not the real them. donald trump, love him or hate him is kind of real. julie: he does, president obama also mentions the fact that people on twitter and people in real life, in person are two different people and that if you actually talk to president obama or president trump, rather, in person you might get a different feel for those who are against his social media practices. but obama also says regarding the irresponsible use of social media, he says it distort s people s understanding of complex issues and spreading misinformation. i want to play a portion of that segment. go ahead and play it. all of us in leadership have to find ways in which we can recreate a common space on the internet. one of the dangers of the internet is people can have entirely different realities. they can be cocooned in information that reinforces
