Orlando Pirates started the new year in the DStv Diski Challenge with a 3-2 loss against TS Galaxy at the Tsakane Stadium on Saturday morning.
Goals from Siya Sibanyoni, Kabelo Mkhize and Ndu Xulu let the Rockets to victory, while Lesiba Mahlong and Boitumelo Radiopane netted the Buccaneers’ consolation efforts.
The set-back is the Buccaneers first of the season, whilst Galaxy register just their second win in their debut campaign in the reserve tier.

A hat-trick from Boitumelo Radiopane helped Orlando Pirates to an emphatic 4-1 win over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in the DStv Diski Challenge at the Rand Stadium on Saturday.
Radiopane struck a first-half brace to put Pirates 2-0 up at halftime before going on to find his third.
Lesiba Mahlong netted the home side’s fourth despite a late reply from the visitors.
Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 TS Galaxy
Kaizer Chiefs made it three wins from three matches after overcoming TS Galaxy 3-2 at the FNB Stadium.
Following a goalless first half, the Soweto giants hit the ground running early in the second stanza through Happy Mashiane but Ndumiso Xulu equalised for the visiting side.
