Quebec reports 753 new cases, 9 more deaths
Quebec health authorities reported 753 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the total number of cases in the province since the start of the pandemic to 296,143. Of them, 7,128 are active.
Another nine deaths were added to Quebec’s total on Friday, including three in the past 24 hours. There have now been 10,526 deaths from COVID-19 in the province (one was removed from the total because it was not attributable to the virus).
There are 13 fewer people receiving treatment for COVID-19 in Quebec hospitals, bringing the total to 550. Of them, 106 are in intensive care, which is five fewer than Thursday’s total.
