Iron Bridge – Huron Shores council says it plans a careful approach to spending in 2021.
Citing the “financial peril” caused by COVID-19 and the need to limit large expenditures, council has passed a resolution to defer vehicle purchases for the municipality.

Huron Shores was considering buying a new tandem plow truck and replacing its existing half-ton truck this year. Council had authorized the public works department to obtain cost estimates for both and potential purchases were to be drawn from the 2021 budget. Barring any emergency circumstances, council now defers any new vehicle acquisitions to the 2022 budget year.
