Johannesburg - Lerai Rakoditsoe is a breath of fresh air. The fresh-faced presenter is set on becoming a household name as she takes on her new role as presenter of Nickelodeon channelâs latest premiere, NickMusic.
The show is a local first for the African kidsâ television channel.
The locally produced music show will feature music from African artists and across the world.
Rakoditsoe is ready to entertain and be entertained as she takes on this new journey.
âI ve always loved performing, I was always a child that loved putting on shows for guests that we had at home,â said the 18-year-old.

The 18-year-old has joined Nickelodeon Africa as a presenter for a new music show called, ‘NickMusic .
Rakoditsoe made history by becoming the first African to join the channel.
She took to Instagram to share the exciting news.
“I am excited to be part of the @nickelodeon africa family and to be the first young African host for the channel,” she wrote on IG.

Announcing the news on her social media, the TV star said she was looking forward to working with the channel and was humbled to be the first South African to join it.

“I am excited to be part of the Nickelodeon Africa family and to be the first young African host for the channel,” she said.
“Having grown up watching the channel, I know how important it is for young minds to see someone like themselves on screen. Authentic representation is important, and to see myself on the channel is mind-blowing. I’m extremely grateful and looking forward to interacting with viewers across Africa, and to show off some of my NickMusic moves.”
