After taking part in the New Ross Darkness into Light walk last year, Ruairi asked himself why he had to travel out of his native Enniscorthy to take part in an event which raises money for mental health charity Pieta House. And so he contacted Pieta himself, along with some other members of the local committee, and this year the Darkness into Light walk returns to Enniscorthy on May 6.
Wexford councillors have voted to write a letter to Government TDs James Browne and Paul Kehoe expressing disappointment at the decision to lift the eviction ban, calling it “heartless and cruel” and requesting that it be extended for another nine months.

Wexford is facing a surge in violent incidents and anti-social behavior, including assaults, robberies, and drug-related incidents.Last week a syringe was found by a parent outside of a Wexford Town primary School while robberies and an attack with a hammer were reported on Wexford Main Street.
