Weekly case counts have been dropping since a record 269 recorded in the week ended April 18. For the week ended June 6, 69 new cases were recorded. The number of new daily COVID-19 cases continues to climb in Brantford and Brant County. New local daily COVID-19 cases climbing Back to video The increase comes after the health issued a news release late Wednesday afternoon that stated 12 cases have been linked to outdoor gatherings between May 21 and 26. The health unit traced cases to outdoor social gatherings May 21, 22 and 23 in Brantford in wooded areas off of Hunter’s Way, around Franklin Grobb Memorial Forest, an outdoor social gathering May 25 at a quarry in Drumbo and a pickup football game May 26 at Brantford’s Lions Park.
