Hopkinsville, KY, USA / WHOP 1230 AM | News Radio Jul 7, 2021 | 3:16 PM Hopkinsville police are seeking the public’s help in locating a named suspect in the fatal shooting that occurred on Hazel Street on July 4. According to a post, police are looking for 39-year old Leon Grimes of Hopkinsville.  Grimes was originally sought for questioning in the incident that occurred around 3:30 a.m. on the Fourth of July, but is now a suspect in the shooting death of 28-year old Calvin Buckner of Jan Drive, Hopkinsville. As previously reported, there was an outdoor 4th of July party on Hazel Street just south of East 21st Street when Buckner was shot in the chest he was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
