Leon county commissioner Bill Proctor isn’t leaving his seat. He handily won his re-election bid Tuesday night with more than 58% of the vote in the primary. But that doesn’t mean Proctor is resting easy, and the longtime county official says the results of these local elections have put establishment Tallahassee on notice: expand the traditional tent before it gets knocked down.
For too long, District 2 has been placed on the back burner. The district’s needs have been passed over for more “high profile” initiatives in the historically more dominant districts.
