Town boss Mick McCarthy accepted “a big part of the responsibility” for the Blues 1-0 home defeat to Rotherham United, Leon Best having scored the winning goal for the Millers a minute before the break.
Leon Best’s goal a minute before half-time saw Rotherham United to a 1-0 victory over the Blues at Portman Road. The former Irish international scraped home from close range from a Matt Derbyshire cross, the Millers having caught Town on the break after they had lost possession from a freekick in the visitors’ half.
Town boss Mick McCarthy has revealed that the Blues will be taking up the option for a further year on youngster Kundai Benyu’s contract, which is up at the end of the season, and will “probably” offer him a longer-term deal.
Midfielder Emyr Huws is a doubt ahead of Tuesday’s home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers with the hamstring problem which forced him off during the second half of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Brentford.
