A California Highway Patrol task force investigating an organized retail theft operation announced today the arrests of nine people and the combined recovery of nearly $200,000 in stolen merchandise and cash.
The suspects were charged with stealing items from major retail stores throughout California. Officers recovered approximately $62,000 in cash and $135,000 of stolen merchandise.
The California Highway Patrol’s (CHP) Southern Division Organized Retail Crime Task Force (ORCTF), which also serves the Santa Clarita Valley through the Newhall Area Station, announced Friday the arrest of nine people and the recovery of nearly $200,000 in stolen merchandise and cash.
