FARGO, ND – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks defeated the Houston Apollos 4-1 Saturday night.
The RedHawks got on the board early with Leo Pina scoring on a passed ball in the bottom of the second inning to take a 1-0 lead.
The Apollos answered in the top of the fourth inning when Blake Berry scored on a Daniel Aldrich RBI single tying the game at 1-1.
Fargo-Moorhead took the lead back on a Will Zimmerman solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to make it 2-1.
Zimmerman added to the ‘Hawks lead with an RBI triple in the bottom of the sixth making it 3-1 Fargo-Moorhead.

Prime tied for best batting average in the league last season

When heading out to the ballpark you’ll see a couple key veterans back.
Two of them first baseman Correlle Prime and shortstop Sam Dexter are coming off great years. In prime form, Prime tied for the best batting average in the league and returns as the leading RBI getter. Dexter made himself known over the last 22 games of the season hitting over .300 with 9 doubles and 13 RBI’s.
To meet those marks again, its all about making sure the rest of the team is playing together.
