Last Saturday (May 22), Lisduff Angus held its on-farm bull sale with bidding conducted through Ballyjamesduff Mart, facilitated by the MartEye platform.
Based in Virginia, Co. Cavan, Lisduff herd owner Leo McEnroe and his family have been breeding Angus cattle for over 70 years.
The Lisduff herd consists of 150 cows, with all bulls vaccinated for IBR (Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis), fertility tested and TB (tuberculosis) tested ahead of the sale.
The sale in previous years has attracted buyers from all over the Republic and Northern Ireland – with this year following the same trend.

Lisduff Angus will hold a stock bull sale on Saturday (May 22), starting at 1:30p.m – with viewing available before the sale by appointment.
The on-farm sale will take place online, with bidding to be conducted through the MartEye platform.
There will be a total of 22 bulls on offer including five red bulls and 17 black bulls.

Lisduff Della V704 who sold for the top price of €5,100 \ Alfie Shaw
The Lisduff Angus herd run outside Virginia in Co Cavan by Leo McEnroe and his family hosted its first autumn on-farm sale on Tuesday, with prices rising to €5,100.
Taking home the top price on the evening was the April 2019-born Lisduff Della V704. Dating back to the herd’s foundation cow, Della is a daughter of herd stock bull Liss Minter S590.
