THE First Lady of Russia is not a social figure head, but a worker among the workers. Savel Zimand, writing in the New York Times of this interesting woman, tells how on a recent visit to Russia he went to interview the head of the Department of Education. But there was a hitch, one of them could not speak Russian and the other could not speak English. A secretary suggested “We might have Krupskaya come up and act as interpreter.”
