The MaxCap co-founder has emerged as the $26.5m June buyer of Namarong, a six-bedroom residence in Armadale sold by Rupert Murdoch’s nephew Michael Kantor.
Developer Time & Place, backed by the Buxton family’s Corsair Investment Management, plan to develop 600 rental apartments on the 2.1ha site within the Alphington Mill precinct.
The acquisition follows MaxCap managing director and co-founder Wayne Lasky earning about $75 million from the sale of a 25 per cent stake in the company.
