The suspect might have already sold some of the dogs before he was caught. For those in the community who happened to purchase a dog, especially from a gentleman in a white van, contact the Oakland Police department or fremont Police Department to make sure its not attached to this or if it is we can rescue the dog and return them to the rightful owner. Reporter now those dogs are still in the custody of the oakland animal control unit and apparently will be for some time because during the vehicle theft, some of the paperwork associated with the dogs turned up missing, so theyre having to contact owners, in some cases across the country to verify whether or not they own that dog.
