The family of a Salt Lake County Sheriff's deputy, who was shot by a fugitive over the weekend, say they are "thankful he is alive" and that they "harbor no ill will" toward the gunman. Joshua Johnson, 31, shot deputies Joshua Buerke and Leland Grossett as they approached him on the front lawn of the sheriff’s office building near 3300 S. 900 West on Saturday, according toSheriff Rosie Rivera.
