The Philippine Senate has so far received 141 out of 173 certificates of canvass (COCs) detailing the votes cast for presidential and vice presidential candidates in the just concluded Eleksyon 2022.
The Commission on Elections on Tuesday affirmed that presumptive Vice President Sara Duterte could take her oath days before the current administration steps down from office on June 30.
"The escalation of purchases ng cellphones and other devices, hindi naman siya illegal at wala kaagad talagang automatically na sasabihin natin na mayroong anomalies or suspicious activities but then again everything will be looked at and we will be coordinating with the NTC and our security partners,” Laudiangco added.
Commission on Elections (Comelec) acting spokesperson Rex Laudiangco on Monday bared plans for the proclamation of winning senatorial candidates and party-list groups on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Sunday said winning senators and party-list groups would be proclaimed separately to maintain public health standards amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
