State Rep. Samara Heav­rin is one of 28 Kentucky lawmakers singled out by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce for having a 100 percent pro-business voting record in the latest General Assembly session. Heavrin, a Leitchfield Republican who serves the 18th District, was one of 20 House members on the list. Eight of the 38 state senators also voted to spur economic growth and improve the state’s business climate 100 percent of the time, the annual Results for Business report said. “I will always fight for policies that result in good paying jobs and that help our businesses grow,” Heavrin said in a release issued by the chamber. “As a small business owner myself, I truly know the importance of supporting small businesses in a local community.”
