RIP: Amu Kamei, who also served as Rongmei Naga People Organisation (RNPO) president, passed away on Tuesday morning at Shija Hospitals after a prolonged illness, sources said.
IMPHAL The All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) has condoled the sudden demise of video journalist Leishangthem Mungyamba Chenglei of Tera Sapam Leirak in Imphal West district on Monday. Mungyamba (45) who had worked as cameraman of ISTV Network, a cable news network in the state and ANI state bureau for some time, passed away following a prolonged illness at RIMS hospital on Monday. He is survived by his wife and two children. Later he joined other local TV channels. Members of the AMWJU and Editor’s Guild Manipur (EGM) on Tuesday observed a two minutes of silence as part of giving respect to the departed soul and also to extend solidarity with the bereaved family members, during a condolence meeting at Manipur Press Club in Imphal. Members of AMWJU and EGM also paid floral tributes to the portrait photograph of the departed video journalist.
