The Tigers kicker, Leilani Armenta, is the HBCU‘s first woman on the football team. On Saturday, she became the first woman player at Jackson State to score in an FCS game. The winning game was against Arkansas-Pine Bluff with a 40-14 blowout.
The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff fell 40-14 to Jackson State on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Simmons Bank Field. Three of the Tigers 40 points were scored by Jackson State kicker Leilani Armenta, who became the first female football player to score in a game for a historically Black college or university.
