This thing continues to be just a menace to floridas coast. Absolutely jen. Thats a category 3 hurricane forecast to become a 4. Especially on friday, affect floridas east coast. Some are estimating a landfall. Some say just offshore. It is still a concern. We will start with max defender 8. A few showers continue to pass across the area. Thats a live sweep picking up on showers in Hillsborough County at the moment. They are drifting rapidly to the southwest. You can see a few lightning strikes involved with that. Speak this morning. It went through to perhaps 3 rooms is the barrel through the home this morning. Lets go to a photo of the suspect. This all happened at around 4 or 8 this morning. 24year old ryan talent of plant city barreled down its gerald road in a pickup truck. He lost control and slammed into the home. 76yearold janice folds have walked i the front of the home and was killed instantly. Her husband explains he was 10 seconds behind her when he heard an explosion. The sheriff tells us what happened next. The suspect who was climbing out of the vehicle, if you can imagine, while mister fold is trying to find his wife and he is saying, what you doing here . What have . He is going to leave, but neighbors have poured out into the community and they said no, you are not going anyplace. She said i have to go to my families house was close by. It looks like we have lost audio from ryan hughes out in polk county but we heard the sheriff speaking to us live a little earlier this morning

We are starting off fairly quiet. We have been tracking light sprinkle, mainly in the inland locations. But in downtown the tampa, we are quiet this morning. And you are starting off at 74 degrees. And we have a breeze out of the northeast at 7 miles per hour. Cooler for inverness and brooksville. Upper 60s this morning. And low 70s for sarasota weve got this continued northeasterly flow. And we have been stuck in this for the last couple days but with added moisture, we expect a couple showers to start moving in from the east coast. The its going to favor the inland locations but we cant rule out a stray sprinkle back towards 75 and the west coast as well. 87 today. It will be warm for this time of year. All these white lights. Whats happening is all the traffic on westbound i4 is being diverted to northbound 275 at Martin Luther king and so thats where everyone is exiting. So weve got big delays. Actually, more than what you would think here as i move over and take a quick look. This is whats happening, again, diverted to Martin Luther king so 30 minute delays through i4. And that is a mess. And then also, you have continued delays over at the exit. Take the downtown tampa. Dont mess with westbound i4. Hillsborough a twoday right at wall on the way, waltonway, injuries involved in that crash. And earlier possible fatal crash, county line road at gateway boulevard, that has cleared from the roadway.
