Dave Butterbaugh Jr. is seeking the Republican nomination to be re-elected to Altoona City Council.
Butterbaugh, 51, who resides on Oak Avenue, is director of surveying and geospatial services for Lehman Engineers in Hollidaysburg. He has been surveying since earning his associate degree at Penn State in 1990 and is licensed in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He also serves as the pastor of the Independent Christian Bible Church in Altoona.
“I enjoy serving our community and having worked with over 100 municipalities throughout Pennsylvania has allowed me to bring the good ideas to Altoona and improve our city.” Butterbaugh still serves on the blighted property review committee since being appointed in 2010 by Mayor Bill Schirf and continues to work to improve the blight program and create opportunities for development to expand the tax base. Bringing the downtown area to life and getting the city on stable financial footing has also been his focus.
