The Lego Porsche 911 will be available in stores as of March 1, 2021, but VIP loyalty program members can get early access on February 16. It costs $149.99 in the US and, if you are already or join as a VIP member now, Lego is also offering a limited-run package that comes with a certificate of ownership, a card wallet, and four classic Porsche adverts as art prints. The model is part of Lego s Creator Expert line and is marked as suitable for people 18 years and older.
We don t think it s Lego s greatest set yet as that honor goes to the 1:18 scale Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 in the Technic Ultimate series. However, that retails for $379.99 and is a pure show and collector s piece.

While some of Lego s car kits are suitable for kids, the two-in-one 911 is for serious collectors who are at least 18 years old. It consists of precisely 1,458 pieces, and it lets builders put together a Porsche that s about 13.5 inches long, four inches high, and over six inches wide regardless of whether they choose the Targa or the Turbo.

And even though both designs use the same pieces, doesn t mean they ll be overly similar. From the release:
Several features which are unique to the 911 Turbo and 911 Targa variants of the set ensure they are equally characterful but distinct when built. The Lego Porsche 911 Turbo sports distinctive Turbo badging, a wide rear axle, turbocharger and intercooler, denoting its blistering performance credentials. Its athletic look is completed with an integrated rear spoiler.
