CONCORD, N.H. (AP) New Hampshire schools no longer can shift to fully remote or hybrid instruction due to COVID-19 outbreaks. Both the Legislature’s Joint Committee on Administrative Rules and the State Board of Education approved new rules Friday requiring schools to provide in-person instruction except in cases of inclement weather or when a parent requests remote learning for an individual student.
Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul filed a petition for appeal, along with a motion for an emergency stay of a Sangamon County judge’s order to block enforcement of the rules. "Today, parents, teachers, school staff, and members of their communities are faced with impossible choices," the appeal argues.
State Sen. Tom Sherman, who is also a doctor and likely candidate for governor, is pleased the numbers are trending down but urges caution against possible future variants.
